BGI installed three 35-ton sulfur-impregnated carbon filter units with associated equipment that will be used to capture mercury in the flue gas. BGI's scope of this project included:
- Demolition and removal of existing foundations and asphalt paving.
- Relocating existing storm, water, and electrical utilities.
- Installing new 4160V utility power lines, and step-down transformer.
- Placing new footings, foundations, piers, embedment's, stub walls, transformer pad, equipment pedestals, final concrete slabs and asphalt paving.
- Structural Steel Fabrication and Erection; Red-Iron connecting building, pre-manufactured main and electrical buildings, and associated pipe racks.
- Siding and Roofing; All siding, roofing and insulation.
- Installed 5-ton overhead bridge crane.
- Electrical and Instrumentation; 4160v feeder and transformer, MCC equipment, generator, load bank, neutral grounding resistor, UPS, temperature transmitters, level indicator/transmitters, level switches, PLC's with I/O's.
- Install Lightening and grounding grid systems along with communication and fire protection.
- Fabricate and install large bore Flue Gas ducting.
- Mechanical Installation; Three each 35 ton Filters, Pumps, Tanks.
- Install small bore Process Water, Instrument Air, Plant Air, Natural Gas, and Condensate piping.
- Install HVAC equipment for sub-contractor.
- Pre-commissioning, commissioning and turn-over of all systems, this includes all testing, validation, and documentation.
